I recently performed my first concert with the Royal Conservatoire's Symphony Orchestra. A programme of Respighi, De Falla, and Debussy was expertly conducted by Francesco Corti (Scottish Opera) at the City Halls in Glasgow and made for a really enjoyable concert. I played in Respighi's Fountains of Rome with its evocative 'postcards', and also in De Falla's Second Suite from The Three-Cornered Hat; full to bursting of the rhythms and spirit of Spain.
